Shipping to the USA Suspended: What Reusable Planet Customers Need to Know

Why we’ve paused shipping to the USA and when it may return We’ve had to temporarily suspend USA shipping due to changes in customs and tariffs. Here’s what’s happening and when it might resume.

NEWS FOR OUR USA CUSTOMERS - SHIPPING SUSPENDED

USA shipping suspendedUnfortunately, with the end of the ‘de minimis’ tariff exemption threshold of $800 for goods entering the US, like many of our fellow Aussie businesses, we have had to make the hard decision to turn off shipping to the USA for the interim.

Our national carrier Australia Post has joined a number of international postal operators to temporarily suspended most shipments to the USA and its overseas territories, including Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.

This is because they currently have no provision to comply with the new US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements that duties and taxes be prepaid on all shipments prior to their arrival, and the new mandatory customs declaration requirements.

Australia Post is making operational adjustments and partnering with a third party provider - Zonos - to ensure compliance with international requirements and recently announced that it plans to resume postal sending to the US and its overseas territories on or before Thursday 25 September 2025.

However, given the ongoing uncertainty around the tariff landscape in USA, Reusable Planet will not be making separate provisions to collect tariffs at time of payment, for any country.

Shipping might be paused, but the sustainability journey doesn’t stop! You can still follow along here and with our blog to get all the eco tips on easily living more sustainably.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Complaints or feedback relating to this matter can be addressed to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC. :)

Thankyou for your attention to this matter.
