To Use: Moisten bar and rub between hands until you have enough soap to wash your face. Rinse and pat dry. Preserves moisture and helps restore dry skin, leaving a silky feel.

ABOUT: Tengkawang butter is a vegetable fat made from the fruit of the Tengkawang, or Illipe tree, native to Borneo. Traditionally used for cooking, candle making and applying to wounds and animal bites by the local Dayak tribes.

Helping Local Communities: Partnerships for Forests says Borneo has lost over half of its forests in the last 50 years, primarily due to palm oil plantations. Higher prices for tengkawang nuts make cutting down the sacred trees for their timber less appealing as each tree can be worth more left standing than cleared to make way for plantations.
